About the Instructor and Host

Dr. Kilani

Dr. Kilani, OBGYN

Dr. Mehrak Kilani is an obstetrician and gynecologist with over 25 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Tehran in 1993. After immigrating to Canada, she completed her residency at Western University in London, ON, where she graduated as an Ob/GYN for a second time.

Dr. Kilani specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology, including prenatal care, gynecologic surgery, colposcopy, well women care, and contraceptive counseling. She is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Kilani is well known for her quality and patient-centered care. Her passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well. In her spare time, Dr. Kilani enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, and reading books. She has been practicing at RVH since 2011. She lives in Barrie with her husband.

Kat Ennis

Kat Ennis, B.A.Hons, B.Ed, Certified Doula
Kat is a mom of 2 awesome boys (and a pup named Finlay). She holds a B.A. Honours degree with specialties in English and Geography and a Bachelor of Education (Concurrent), both from Queen’s University. Kat has had the privilege of supporting 100s of families through their pregnancies, births, and early postpartum days as a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, + Infant Sleep Educator. She is looking forward to supporting you during your journey to parenthood.
