About the Instructors and Host
Dr. KILANI, OBGYN
Dr. Mehrak Kilani is an obstetrician and gynecologist with over 25 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Tehran in 1993. After immigrating to Canada, she completed her residency at Western University in London, ON, where she graduated as an Ob/GYN for a second time.
Dr. Kilani specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology, including prenatal care, gynecologic surgery, colposcopy, well women care, and contraceptive counseling. She is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Kilani is well known for her quality and patient-centered care. Her passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well.
Dr. Kilani enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, and reading books. She has been practicing at RVH since 2011. She lives in Barrie with her husband.

Kat Ennis, B.A.Hons, B.Ed, Certified Doula
Since 2016, all of Kat's work in the maternal support services field has been centred around the intention of giving today's parents current, evidence-based information so that they can make decisions that are right for them and for their families.
Kat is a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth and infant sleep educator. She has supported hundreds of families in person and virtually across Canada and the USA. She is incredibly proud to be part of the interdisciplinary team at Barrie Women's Health Centre.
Kat is on a mission to support and empower all new parents to parent their way - because there's no, one, right way to do this parenting thing!
Kat has two awesome boys and a giant golden retriever pup named Finlay who keep her and her incredible husband Jon on their toes.
